OVERSEAS VOLUNTEER PROJECTS
The Overseas Volunteer Programme (OVP) provides opportunities for Londoners and young people from overseas aged between 18-30 years to participate in volunteer projects in London, Africa, Asia and The Caribbean. You don’t need any specific qualifications, just enthusiasm and the commitment to undertake your project. Experience of working or volunteering with children, young people or local communities is useful, but not essential. We are keen to help those who wouldn’t normally have the opportunity to volunteer overseas.

How much will it cost me?
Unlike most volunteer or gap year organisations, the Daneford Trust does not charge any upfront fees and can help you to raise 100% of your expenses through local funding sources – this usually takes several months but you will be given plenty of support and advice.
When can I go?
Departures at most times of the year. Most placements require a commitment of between 2 and 12 months. On your return, you are encouraged to stay in contact with your project and share your experiences with your local community in the UK. Many volunteers choose to continue supporting the trust by assisting with events, fundraising, networking, recruitment and publicity etc.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer then download the application form. Please note, applicants should be between 17-30 and currently living in London to apply.
Once you have filled in your application, please email it to info@danefordtrust.org
The Daneford Trust website is going to be updated over the next few months, we would welcome any suggestions or feedback.
